Hi, I'm Daynea
As a mom, wife, and HR professional, my daily life is always full. Add in my anxiety and ADD and my days go from full to overflowing.
For years, I thought I was properly managing my anxiety and its symptoms. Then, at the end of March 2023, I was laid off from my job due to a company restructuring. To make matters worse, I needed to have surgery on my foot and was unable to walk for months.
It felt like the luck I'd had all my life had run out and I was drowning in my head. I was stressed, angry, and sad and was exhibiting these feelings in unhealthy ways like dissociating and overeating.
Fortunately for me, I have an amazing support system. Through family, friends, hobbies, and CBT, I'm learning how to be the best me, day by day.
